I don't remember the circumstances of this song, but I do recall that a sincere-sounding voice sang this song in the background as if the dad's character in the movie meant it.

[A] Father says, oh my [dear] daughter,
You are, after all, a piece of my heart
Some "thief" is going to steal you away some day
Tell [me] how will my days pass without you,
Tell [me] how will I live alone without you?

May you always be married, may your husband be [always] with you day & night
For this happiness [described above], I'll bear any pain
Your going away will make me sad but, my child,
I'll always smile even with the pain inside
A father is praying thus for you
May you always live in [the shadow of] happiness

Time will heal all wounds
And, time will pass, always remember [that]
Life cannot be lived [only] on memories
And this is the truth, understand
No one can drink sea water
And no one can live alone in [relative] confinement

The story is that of a father-in-law, who treats his [prematurely widowed] daughter-in-law as his own daughter in getting her married off to another young man.

There are several parameters you can use with the YouTube URL, e.g., to start a video at a specific position in the clip.
