There is a certain simplicity I see in Kannada music that I don't always see in Hindi music; that may be because I am a native Kannada speaker. Example:

ಮೋಹದಲ್ಲಿ ಬೀಳುವಾ, ಮಧುರವಾದ ಭಾವನೇ ...Simple, yet rhythmic. ನೀಡದೇ ಸೂಚನೇ, translated "without advance notice", is the interesting part. Perhaps the rhythm creation is a joint work of Mano Murthy, the music director, and Jayant Kaikini, the lyricist.
