This song has excellent rhythm, and you cannot help but tap your feet to it. In addition, it also has a rare description how one can feel when experiencing romance. The male lover sings:

... Either the Moon has come down or it is your — i.e., his lover's — brightness,
And, it just feels like the Earth is flying, [ever so] slowly ...

And, the female lover sings:

... Let us get lost in our dreams ... in a bed of flowers ...

ज़रा सी दिल में दे जगा तू

When you understand the variety of pleadings of the male with the female for her love, you wonder how spontaneous this feelings can be in real people. But, you have to appreciate the poet's attempt to capture these thoughts.

The manner in which the singing is punctuated by the screeching halt of the automobile, and the dialogue about betting in a game of cricket,

"When you are so good at betting, why don't you become a bookie yourself?",

you have to credit the Bollywood creativity!

ನಿನ್ನ ನೋಡಲೆಂತೋ, ಮಾತನಾಡಲೆಂತೋ

The lovers sing to each other [in their imagination] about their inability to profess their love to each other. A melodious song number is a mechanism Indian directors use rather well to make their point. Shreya Ghoshal is superb in this number.

Katrina's dance is rather attractive.

ಏನಾಗಲೀ ಮುಂದೆ ಸಾಗು ನೀ

I have not seen this movie yet, but one of my friends has liked it. Sounds rather sentimental ... admonishes a certain philosophy of life, it seems like. I have reconstructed the lyrics by listening to the music videos: there is another piece in addition to the one in the video button.

तुझ में रब दिखता है

The use of the term 'God' in Bollywood lyrics is quite frequent. This song is from the film रब ने बना दी जोड़ी. Its use in this song appears unique in the sense that the lover claims to see 'God' in his or her mate. Makes you wonder whether the Bollywood lyricists routinely go through a Vedanta course.

बावरे नैना भरे रहे रात भर

This lilting song punctuates key points in the TV serial चोटी बहू - the younger daughter-in-law - that I have enjoyed watching. This song captures the turmoil in the lovers' minds as they go through various difficulties in finding each other.

ಮಾಯವಾಗಿದೆ ಮನಸು ಹಾಗೇ ಸುಮ್ಮನೇ

There is a certain simplicity I see in Kannada music that I don't always see in Hindi music; that may be because I am a native Kannada speaker. Example:

ಮೋಹದಲ್ಲಿ ಬೀಳುವಾ, ಮಧುರವಾದ ಭಾವನೇ ...
ಈಗ ತಾನೆ ಬಂದಿದೇ, ನೀಡದೇ ಸೂಚನೇ.

Simple, yet rhythmic. ನೀಡದೇ ಸೂಚನೇ, translated "without advance notice", is the interesting part. Perhaps the rhythm creation is a joint work of Mano Murthy, the music director, and Jayant Kaikini, the lyricist.

The use of the word 'God' to refer to a lover is a powerful one. At once, it shows respect for the other person and seems to obliquely refer to the God in one and all.

In this song from the movie बचना ये हसीनो, lyricist अन्विता दत्त गुप्तन seems to have done well in weaving the word 'God' into the song; of course, रणबीर कपूर and दीपिका पादुकोण have complemented in their rendering of the music video too, and the voices are given by singers KK and Shilpa Rao.

You have to see the movie to appreciate the context for the song, but suffice it to say that the lyricist, Prasoon Joshi, has deftly described the tumult in a man's heart as he awaits a 'yes' from his lover.
