ಕರುಣಾಕರ ನೀ

This is another composition by ಪುರಂದರದಾಸ that starts off with cynicism [about God], but ends up accepting God with surrender. (The other cynical composition is ಸತ್ಯವಂತರಿಗೆ ಇದು ಕಾಲವಲ್ಲ).

ನಾ ನಿನ್ನ ಧ್ಯಾನದೊಳು ಇರಲು ಸದಾ

Another ♫दरबारी कानडा feast.

ಕರುಣಿಸೋ ರಂಗಾ ... ಹಗಲು ಇರುಳು ನಿನ್ನ ಸ್ಮರಣೆಯ ಮರೆಯದಂತೆ

The poet sings that, although he does not have the many good characters of various [mythological] personalities before him, he wishes to plead only one thing: ಹಗಲು ಇರುಳು ನಿನ್ನ ಸ್ಮರಣೆಯ ಮರೆಯದಂತೆ, ಕರುಣಿಸೋ ರಂಗಾ.

In other words, he appeals to God that He grant him the ability to remember, or be aware of, Him day and night.

ಸದಾ ಎನ್ನ ಹೃದಯದಲ್ಲಿ ವಾಸಮಾಡೋ ಶ್ರೀಹರಿ

The poet wishes that God be with him, within his heart, always and elaborates on how he, the poet, would love to pray, and how he would not rest until God obliges or, equivalently, he is one with God.
